05 July 2006 - We enjoyed our last day on the Faroe Islands before the continuation trip to Iceland. We had found a lovely guesthouse in Gjógv, a perfect stay to meet other travelers and to exchange ideas and plans. By the way, the main attraction in that remote village is a natural harbour offering still water between the steep faces.
The moment we left, we had the chance to assist to a sheepshearing, a traditional attraction involving old and young of the very small village population. A feast for a photographer!
Back in Tórshaven, the capital of the Faroe Islands. The most beautiful traditional houses are in the historic old part of the town, located in the harbour area. Time is running out, the ferry is back and will take us finally to Iceland.
